Why Lanna? The 13th century Kingdom of Lanna in what is now northern Thailand Chiang Mai Province, has been know for centuries as a region of immense cultural wealth. Separated from much of Thailand by breathtaking mountains and rustic farmland, the region has retained its own distinctive culture, cuisine, and even language throughout many changes in rule. Translated literally as "The Kingdom of a Million Rice Fields" this area produces a broad variety of agricultural goods lending to its reputation for exotic and aromatic flavors.
Here at Lanna Sian Market was established in December 2007, we take pride in bringing you the very best in exotic groceries from Thailand and all over the asian continent: Japanese, Philippines, Vietnamese, Indonesian, Chinese, and much more. so that you can create a host of delicacies, weather they be dishes from your own homeland, as Lanna is ours, or something new and different to bring sense of adventure to your culinary repertorire.
For example: if you're in the mood for some Japanese sushi, we are your one-stop shop for sushi rice, nori, wasabi, gari ginger, inari (tofu pocket) mirin, rice vinegar, sushi-grade tuna, hokkigai (surf clam), saba, salmon, unagi (charchoal smoked eel), ebi tempura, solf shell crab, masago (capelin roe), and ikura (salmon roe). And don't forget to get some Yamamoto Yama's green tea and fresh miso paste to complete the meal.

Don't feel like sushi? How about spicing up tonight'sdinner with some authentic Pad Thai noodles and spicy shrimp Tom Yum soup? We've just started giving out free recipes for this two popular Thai dishes...more recipes coming soon!

As for Chinese food we carry everything from fresh tofu and vegetables to irresistable dumplings, pot-stickers, scallion pancake, and barbeque pork buns.
Our Philippines products line; includes marinated milkfish, sweet pork longanisa and tocino, pancit canton, bihon and Magnolia mango,ube, and macapuno ice-cream. Better yet, come see for yourself...we do carry chicken and duck Balut, homemade cooked food like Dinuguan (blood pudding), Lechon (roasted pork; Filipino style) including fresh bakery deliver directly from Philipine Bread House, Jersey City, and much more!
Last but not least, all our vegetables and soy products are imported twice a week (every Tuesday and Friday) from Boston so that you can enjoy the freshest produce every single day.
